QN Automotive is preparing to introduce the YANGWANG U8L to the Egyptian market for the first time, marking the arrival of a new model in the full-size SUV segment while reflecting the company’s ambition to introduce a new concept in luxury electric mobility built around performance, technology, advanced engineering and exclusivity.

Dr. Islam Nasrallah, Chairman of the Board of QN Automotive, said that introducing the YANGWANG U8L to the Egyptian market represents a new step in the company’s strategy to redefine the concept of luxury electric vehicles in the region.

A Commanding Design

The YANGWANG U8L features large dimensions that give it a strong road presence, measuring approximately 5.4 meters in length, with a wheelbase of up to 3.25 meters.

The vehicle features YANGWANG’s distinctive design language, combining sharp exterior lines with elements inspired by Eastern design.
The U8L comes with 23-inch wheels, power-operated doors, hidden door handles and a split power tailgate, as well as smart privacy glass and a range of features that reinforce its executive character.

Four Electric Motors Delivering 880 kW

The U8L is powered by the e⁴ system, which uses four independently controlled electric motors delivering a combined output of up to 880 kW and maximum torque of 1,520 Nm.

This configuration enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 200 km/h.
The vehicle combines its electric powertrain with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine as part of a plug-in hybrid system, providing greater flexibility in everyday use compared with conventional battery-electric vehicles.

The battery has a capacity of 56.58 kWh, with a claimed electric range of up to 230 km under the CLTC cycle, while the total claimed range reaches approximately 1,205 km.

Beyond Conventional Roads — Engineering Designed for Exceptional Conditions

The YANGWANG U8L is not limited to delivering strong performance on paved roads. It has been engineered to provide capabilities that go beyond the conventional definition of a luxury SUV, supported by an advanced body and suspension control system and an intelligent hydraulic suspension system capable of adjusting the vehicle’s ride height according to different driving conditions.

Ground clearance can reach 285 mm in the raised position, while the approach angle reaches 31 degrees and the departure angle 28 degrees, according to the announced specifications, enhancing the vehicle’s ability to tackle challenging terrain and difficult roads.

A Vehicle Capable of Floating in Emergency Situations

One of the most distinctive capabilities of the YANGWANG U8L is its ability to float on water in emergency situations, representing one of the technologies that demonstrates YANGWANG’s approach to developing vehicles whose capabilities extend beyond conventional road use.

This capability relies on an integrated engineering system that includes a sealed body structure, advanced protection and insulation for electrical components, and intelligent control systems, helping the vehicle respond to exceptional water-related conditions.
The technology works alongside the e⁴ electric system and its four independently controlled motors, which provide precise control over power distribution to the wheels and enhance the vehicle’s ability to move and maintain control in challenging environments.
The U8L also offers a claimed water-wading capability of up to one meter, alongside a range of dedicated driving modes for different conditions, including sand, mud, snow, mountainous terrain and water.

An Executive-Oriented Interior

Inside, the U8L features a cabin designed with a clear focus on passenger comfort, particularly for second-row occupants.

The executive configuration features a six-seat 2+2+2 layout, with rear Zero Gravity seats offering multiple electric adjustment functions, heating, ventilation, massage and leg-rest functions, alongside individual executive tables and a spacious cabin.

The equipment package also includes a 21.4-inch electrically folding roof-mounted display and built-in refrigerators with cooling and heating functions.

The vehicle is also equipped with a premium Dynaudio sound system featuring 32 speakers with total output of up to 2,040 watts, supported by Dolby Atmos technology.

Technology at the Heart of the Experience

The U8L is equipped with the DiLink 300 intelligent cabin system, supported by an automotive 5G chip manufactured using a 3nm process.

Its interconnected display system includes a central control screen, front passenger display, head-up display and rear display.

The vehicle also features an advanced driver-assistance system supported by an integrated sensor suite comprising three LiDAR sensors, five millimeter-wave radars, 14 ultrasonic radars and 18 cameras, for a total of 40 high-precision sensing units.

The system is designed to provide comprehensive awareness of the vehicle’s surroundings while supporting driver-assistance and intelligent parking functions.

The U8L offers a comprehensive range of safety and comfort features, including 14 airbags, advanced stability-control systems, rear-wheel steering and an advanced braking system.
