Ericsson Egypt and ITI Discuss Strategic Partnership for AI Skills Development

Ericsson Egypt received a delegation from the Information Technology Institute (one of the training arms affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, specialized in building and qualifying digital competencies), headed by Dr. Heba Saleh, Head of the Information Technology Institute, to discuss ways of cooperation of mutual interest.

The visit constituted an important step in the discussions between the two parties regarding capacity building, training programs, and organizing specialized seminars.

Both parties expressed a strong commitment to establishing a strategic partnership that contributes to the preparation of qualified specialized personnel to support the growth of the telecommunications and information technology sector in Egypt.

During the visit, Ericsson Egypt shared detailed insights about its research and development center, which includes use cases of artificial intelligence and related product developments.

For its part, the delegation from the Information Technology Institute presented the institute’s vision for preparing digital competencies by integrating artificial intelligence technologies, agentic AI, and AI application engineering across various specialized tracks, enabling trainees to develop practical solutions that meet industry needs in collaboration with private sector partners. The Ericsson team also reviewed models of the trainees’ projects, practically demonstrating the institute’s approach in preparing skilled professionals capable of developing innovative solutions that meet future requirements.

The visit included a general introductory presentation about Ericsson’s operations in Egypt, as well as a meeting with the research and development team to discuss potential collaboration initiatives.
