QNB Egypt Earns 12 Global Awards in 2026

QNB Egypt, a subsidiary of QNB Group, a leading financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, has won 12 prestigious international awards during 2026 from leading global financial institutions. The awards reaffirm the bank’s leading position in Egypt’s banking sector and its excellence in delivering innovative and diversified banking solutions that meet the needs of various customer segments.

In the field of digital banking, the bank received the Best Bank for Digital Banking Services in Egypt 2026 award from Global Banking and Finance, in recognition of its continued investments in developing digital solutions and enhancing the efficiency of its electronic services. Through these investments, the bank is responding to the accelerating shift towards digital banking by expanding the range of services available through its online and mobile banking platforms.

In the retail banking segment, QNB Egypt received the Best Retail Bank in Egypt 2026 award from both Global Banking & Finance and Capital Finance International, underscoring its success in expanding its customer base and strengthening the competitiveness of its retail banking offering. This performance was reflected in strong customer deposit growth, which reached EGP 879 billion at the end of March 2026, representing a 13% increase compared with year-end 2025, driven by the continued expansion of diversified savings and financing solutions tailored to a broad range of customer needs.

Within the corporate banking segment, the bank received the Best Corporate Bank in Egypt 2026 award, in addition to the Best Trade Finance Bank in Egypt 2026 award from Global Banking & Finance, reflecting its strength in supporting major corporates and providing integrated financing solutions. This role is reflected in the continued expansion of financing for economic and productive activities, with the bank’s loans and credit facilities portfolio increasing to EGP 498 billion, up by EGP 31 billion, representing a 7% growth rate compared with December 2025. This growth highlights the bank’s pivotal role in financing businesses and supporting trade and investment activity.

As part of its ongoing support for the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector, the bank secured five major awards, including the Best SME Bank in Egypt award from Global Banking & Finance, Capital Finance International and The Digital Banker. The bank also received the Fastest Growing SME Bank in Egypt 2026 award from International Finance Magazine, in addition to the Best SME Beyond Banking Service Initiative North Africa award from The Digital Banker. These awards reflect the bank’s commitment to providing a comprehensive ecosystem that supports the growth of this vital sector through innovative financial and non-financial solutions.

The bank also strengthened its leadership in treasury services after receiving the Best Treasury Bank in Egypt 2026 award from Global Banking & Finance Review, reflecting the strength of its financial position and efficient liquidity management. Total assets increased to EGP 1.044 trillion at the end of March 2026, representing a 12%
growth rate, while the bank maintained a strong capital adequacy ratio of 24.6%.

In the field of customer experience, the bank received the Excellence in customer experience Award in Egypt 2026 from International Finance Magazine, reflecting the success of its strategy that places customers at the heart of its priorities. This recognition underscores the success of its integrated approach, built on its belief that it is “More Than a Bank”, through the continuous enhancement of products and services and the improvement of the customer journey, supported by a network of 239 branches serving customers across Egypt.

During the first quarter of 2026, the bank reported consolidated net profits of EGP 9.5 billion, representing a 33 percent increase compared with the same period last year. This performance reflects the efficiency of its business model, its resilience in adapting to evolving market conditions, and its continued role as a key partner in supporting Egypt’s economy and advancing financial inclusion.
