AAIB Posts $202.8 Million Net Profit in H1 2026, Highest First-Half Result in Five Years

The bank reported net profit of $202.8 million, representing a 27% increase from the same period in 2025, while maintaining solid growth across its lending portfolio.

The bank’s corporate and retail loans expanded by 16% compared with December 2025, highlighting continued momentum in its core banking activities and balance-sheet growth.

According to AAIB’s financial performance indicators for the first half of 2026, net profit reached $202.8 million, marking a significant improvement from the first half of 2025.

The result represents the bank’s strongest first-half profitability over the past five years, reflecting continued growth in its core banking operations.

Net Interest Income Reaches $346.2 Million

AAIB recorded $346.2 million in net interest income during the first six months of 2026.

The figure reflects the bank’s performance across its principal banking activities and contributed to the overall improvement in its financial results during the period.

AAIB’s total assets stood at approximately $21 billion by the end of the first half of 2026.

Financial investments amounted to $7.4 billion, while gross loans reached $5.8 billion, underscoring the scale of the bank’s financing and investment activities.

Corporate lending represented the largest component of AAIB’s loan portfolio during the first half of 2026.

Corporate loans totaled $5 billion, while retail loans stood at approximately $754 million. Overall, corporate and retail lending recorded a 16% increase compared with December 2025.

On the liabilities side, AAIB reported total customer deposits of $15 billion during the first half of 2026.
