QNB Egypt Expands Its Sustainable Development Impact in H1 2026, Reinforcing Its Role in Building More Prosperous Communities

QNB Egypt, a subsidiary of QNB Group, has continued to advance its social responsibility agenda by expanding a portfolio of impactful development initiatives in collaboration with civil society organizations and academic institutions, Building on its strong financial performance in the first half of 2026, with net profits reaching EGP 18.6 billion, up 23% year-on-year,
These efforts underscore the Bank’s commitment to delivering sustainable value across education, healthcare, social protection, and economic empowerment, reflecting its core belief of being “More than a Bank” and reinforcing its role as a key contributor to sustainable development and enhanced quality of life in Egypt.
Education, the engine of progress
As part of its commitment to education and fostering safe and inclusive learning environments, QNB Egypt supported the development of several schools across multiple governorates, including the inauguration of Shohadaa Nazlet El Shobak Preparatory School in Giza and Nazlet Geneidi Primary School in Beni Suef, in partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation and Sonaa El Kheir Foundation.
The projects included infrastructure upgrades, classroom, library, and laboratory enhancements, in addition to providing school furniture and sports facilities to enrich the educational environment.
Further extending its support to higher education, the Bank inaugurated an AI-Driven Oral Health Research Lab at the Faculty of Dentistry at Cairo University — the first of its kind among dental faculties in Egypt — to strengthen educational and research capabilities while equipping students and researchers with advanced technological skills.
Social development, a top priority
In line with its commitment to improving living standards for underserved communities, particularly in the most vulnerable villages, QNB Egypt contributed to the “Housing and Warmth” winter campaign to rehabilitate and roof vulnerable homes in Fayoum and Kafr El Sheikh, in partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation, helping provide safer housing and greater stability for beneficiary families.
The Bank also expanded its efforts by supporting access to clean water for vulnerable households in Minya and contributing to the rehabilitation and extension of water networks in El Fashn, Beni Suef, improving water quality and health conditions for nearly 3,000 beneficiaries.
Recognizing the importance of volunteerism as an integral part of its corporate culture, the Bank organized dedicated volunteer initiatives, including a volunteer day during which 28 employees participated in roofing four homes in El Shawashna village, Fayoum, as well as two Ramadan volunteering days to pack food boxes under the “Ramadan Iftar” campaign, in collaboration with Misr El Kheir Foundation, further fostering a culture of solidarity and collective impact.
Building on its commitment to fostering an inclusive and appreciative workplace, QNB Egypt also celebrated the achievements of its female employees through the #1001 Roses initiative, launched by QNB Group in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The initiative recognized women across the Bank for their dedication and contributions to reinforcing QNB’s core values.
As part of the celebration, the Bank also honoured its female customers in appreciation of their long-standing loyalty and trust, creating meaningful moments of engagement that reflected the values of recognition, inclusion, and giving.
Healthcare, improving lives every day.
On the healthcare front, QNB Egypt continues to support initiatives that improve access to quality healthcare services. In this context, the Bank supported 13 comprehensive medical convoys for elderly residents in care homes across five governorates, in partnership with Ibrahim Badran Foundation, delivering medical examinations, treatment, medication, laboratory services, and psychological support to around 730 beneficiaries.
Further strengthening healthcare infrastructure, QNB Egypt developed Meneyet El Nasr Central Hospital in Dakahlia Governorate as part of its commitment to improving healthcare services in underserved communities.
The project included upgrading the hospital’s infrastructure and providing advanced medical equipment, contributing to enhanced service quality and benefiting more than 56,000 residents in Meneyet El Nasr and surrounding areas.
The Bank also provided specialized medical equipment to the Fayoum Oncology Center — the first cancer treatment center in Northern Upper Egypt — contributing to enhanced diagnostics, improved treatment quality, and reduced waiting times.
Economic empowerment, unlocking opportunity
As part of economic empowerment, a cornerstone of its CSR strategy, QNB Egypt partnered with Dar Al Orman Association to implement development projects targeting women breadwinners and people with disabilities in Minya by providing them with kiosks to support the launch of small businesses.
The Bank also supported the “Istidama Center” for development and heritage crafts in Fayoum, in partnership with Sonaa El Kheir Foundation.
The initiative trained 95 women in traditional handicrafts, and created employment opportunities for 70 of them, promoting sustainable income generation and long-term social and economic inclusion.
The Bank’s support for people with disabilities also included providing assistive devices to eligible beneficiaries in Fayoum and Luxor, in partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation, including hearing aids and prosthetic limbs, helping strengthen their integration into society and the labor market.
These initiatives reflect QNB Egypt’s integrated CSR strategy, centered on supporting vital sectors, fostering effective partnerships, and delivering lasting developmental impact. Through these efforts, the Bank continues to reaffirm its belief that investing in people remains the foundation for building a more sustainable and prosperous future.
