Raya Holding and Five of its Portfolio Companies Awarded Egyptian Gender Equity Seal by the National Council for Women
Raya Holding for Financial Investments, together with five of its Portfolio Companies, “Raya Customer Experience, Aman Holding, Raya IT, Raya Electric, and Raya Smart Buildings” have been awarded the Egyptian Gender Equity Seal (EGES) by the National Council for Women.
The recognition underscores the group’s commitment to building fair, inclusive, and supportive workplaces.
The achievement highlights Raya’s long‑standing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as its embrace of global principles of women’s empowerment across all operations. It also represents a major step forward in the group’s sustainability agenda, directly tied to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 on gender equality and aligned with the pillars of Egypt Vision 2030, including social justice, human capital development, and sound governance.
The EGES, issued by the National Council for Women, is a national accreditation awarded to companies that demonstrate a tangible, measurable commitment to inclusion and equal opportunity. Assessment criteria span key dimensions including inclusive hiring practices, pay equity, women’s leadership development, ongoing capacity‑building, and the assurance of safe and respectful working environments. The certification confers a competitive advantage in the labor market and strengthens investor and partner confidence.
Marwa Hamza, Chief Human Resources Officer at Raya Holding, commented: “The awarding of Raya Holding and five of our portfolio companies with the Gender Equity Seal reflects the group’s commitment to implementing global best practices in human resources, from inclusive hiring policies and pay equity to the development of female leaders and the assurance of safe, respectful workplaces.
This recognition is a strategic step in consolidating Raya’s position as a responsible market leader at the local, regional, and international levels, capable of competing in a fast‑changing market and contributing meaningfully to Egypt Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.”
She added: “This milestone is a clear reminder that diversity and inclusion extend far beyond ethical obligations, they are a catalyst for competitive growth. For Raya Holding and our portfolio companies, investing in diverse, inclusive workplaces is ultimately an investment in human capital. It’s a strategy that strengthens teams, enhances resilience, and fuels sustainable growth in a fast‑changing market. For Raya, gender equality and inclusive workplaces aren’t extras, they’re the core of resilience, innovation, and lasting success.”
Notably, this recognition builds on a track record of external validation: Raya Holding and several of its portfolio companies have previously been accredited as Top Employer Egypt for 2022, 2023, and 2024 by the Top Employers Institute, in recognition of excellence in HR practices, talent development, supportive work environments, and diversity and inclusion policies.
