Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, inaugurated the Adomena Factory for building materials and inspected the Egypt Anode facility for carbon block production in the Orascom Industrial Parks (OIP) zone in Ain Sokhna today. The visit came as part of his regular tours to monitor the progress of investment and industrial projects within the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Lieutenant General Kamel Al Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport; Engineer Mohamed Shimi, Minister of Public Business Sector; Mr. Walid Gamal El Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone; Major General Dr. Tarek Hamed El Shazly, Governor of Suez; and Eng. Amr El Batrik, CEO of Orascom IP.

The Prime Minister conducted a comprehensive tour of the OIP industrial zone, which included the newly opened Adomena Factory for building materials.

The project stands out as one of the most significant new industrial investments in the Suez Canal region. It specialises in producing PVC profiles and PVC doors with a total investment of USD 20 million, providing approximately 250 direct job opportunities.

Dr. Madbouly and his delegation also visited Egypt Anode, a company established in 2007 with a total investment of USD 58.5 million. Egypt Anode is one of the leading manufacturers of carbon blocks used in heavy industries and currently employs over 127 workers.

Commenting on the visit, Eng. Amr El Batrik, CEO of Orascom IP, stated: “We take pride in being a key partner in this success, which reflects the state’s vision to promote local manufacturing and attract international investment. Companies such as Turkey’s Adomena and Egypt Anode are prime examples of investor confidence — both local and foreign — in Egypt’s industrial ecosystem and in our capacity as a world-class industrial developer to deliver sustainable, growth-oriented infrastructure.”

El Batrik added that the Ain Sokhna area is witnessing rapid expansion due to its strategic location within the SCZone. He reaffirmed that Orascom Industrial Parks continues to attract further investments from multiple countries, reinforcing Egypt’s industrial integration and contributing to its economic development by creating quality job opportunities for youth.

The visit reaffirmed Orascom Industrial Parks’ leading role in driving industrial development and attracting foreign direct investment to Egypt. The company is among the pioneering industrial developers operating within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, providing an integrated business environment that enables investors to operate efficiently and sustainably.
