Al Rawi Award: Empowering Young Creatives & Celebrating National Identity
Under the auspices of four ministries, Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Social Solidarity, Tourism and Antiquities, and Culture, the second edition of “Al Rawi – The Storyteller Award” officially kicks off. This year’s edition expands its creative content categories to uncover emerging talents in content creation, inspiring young Egyptians to showcase their point of view of the country while strengthening their sense of national pride.
This year’s competition features a wide range of categories, including Digital Content (1-minute reel), Long-Form (5 minutes), Short Film (30 minutes), Photography, Scriptwriting, Monologue Video, Culinary Video, Music, and Art.
This new edition builds upon the remarkable success of last year’s launch, which culminated in an awards ceremony during the Narrative PR Summit. The awards were presented by advertising pioneer and Head of the Jury, Tarek Nour, Chairman of United Media Services, and Founder of TN Communications. In addition, the jury included a group of distinguished creatives from various fields, reinforcing the award’s role as a platform that nurtures and celebrates emerging creative talent.
Lamia Kamel Founder and Managing Director of CC Plus, Co-Founder of The Global Narrative, and Founder of the Narrative PR Summit, expressed her pride in the government and ministerial support behind the initiative. She stated, “Our goal is to make ‘Al Rawi Award’ a long-term national project that celebrates Egyptian culture and identity while empowering young talents to express themselves creatively. Through this second edition, we aim to expand our reach and connect with youth across Egypt’s governorates, in collaboration with our partners in both the public and private sectors.”
Submissions for the second edition of “Al Rawi Award” will officially start in December, with jury announcement, participation criteria and submission details to be announced through the award’s social media platforms.
