Techne Summit Cairo 2026 Targets 55,000 Attendees, 450 Speakers
Techne Summit Cairo 2026 is set to bring together more than 55,000 attendees across its Cairo and Alexandria editions, with the Cairo summit scheduled for September 26–27, 2026, focusing on innovation, investment, corporate growth, emerging technologies and policy.
The summit will feature more than 450 speakers from over 20 countries, including government officials, investors, corporate executives, startup founders and technology leaders.
Among the headline speakers are Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance; Refaat Hendy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment; and Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry.
The speaker lineup also includes Osama Saleh, Chairman of Credit Agricole Egypt and Ayady for Investment and Development and former Minister of Investment; Hossam Sadek, CEO of the Universal Health Insurance Authority; Mohamed Kassem, General Manager of Microsoft Egypt; Mohamed El Araby, Managing Director of L’Oréal Egypt; Stefano Mazzone, General Manager of Roche Egypt; and Sherif Nour, Country President of AstraZeneca Egypt.
Techne Cairo focuses on innovation, capital and policy
The Cairo edition will operate under the 2026 positioning “Where Innovation Meets Capital and Policy,” with a focus on scaleups, corporate innovation, investment, business growth and market opportunities.
Techne Summit 2026 is expected to feature more than 1,500 startups, alongside a dedicated corporate exhibition in Cairo and more than 265 community partners.
The summit aims to provide a platform connecting companies with investors, corporates and ecosystem organizations, supporting business relationships, investment discussions and potential partnerships.
Investment takes center stage
Investment will form a major part of the Cairo agenda through Capital Connect by Alexandria Angels, bringing together investors, founders and ecosystem leaders.
The investment program will feature panels, fireside chats, matchmaking and networking opportunities, with Capital Connect expected to include 250 participants.
50 sessions and 20 workshops
Techne Summit Cairo will offer more than 50 hours of content, including 50 sessions, 20 workshops and 10 Meet & Greet activities.

Meta joins as strategic partner
Meta will participate as a strategic partner of Middle East Innovation Week and Techne Summit 2026, supporting activities focused on artificial intelligence, inclusion and digital capabilities.
The partnership will include initiatives such as Meta AI Academy, Meta Transform with AI and My Digital World, targeting founders, businesses, students and young people.
Meta executives participating in the summit include Basma Ammari, Sarah Sakha, Sherry Dzinoreva and Mehdi Taher.
AI-powered matchmaking through Techne app
The summit will also use AI-powered matchmaking through the Techne app, enabling attendees to identify relevant contacts, discover potential opportunities and schedule meetings.
The feature is designed to support direct connections between entrepreneurs, investors, corporates and other ecosystem participants.
Techne introduces pet-friendly experience
For the first time, Techne Summit Cairo will host Techne Unleashed, a pet-friendly experience developed in partnership with PetFast.
The initiative will bring together pet owners, brands and service providers through exhibitions, product sampling and interactive activities.
Puppucino will serve dog meals alongside coffee, desserts and sandwiches, while British Animal Hospital will participate through an exhibition presence and product sampling.
Major companies and ecosystem organizations participate
The summit will bring together startups, scaleups, investors, corporates, accelerators and ecosystem organizations.
Techne Summit Cairo is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, Ministry of Finance and the Digital Economy and Technology General Division (DETGD).
Strategic partners include Meta, ITIDA and Startup Egypt, while Trianglz is the Platinum Sponsor and Somabay is the Gold Sponsor.

Techne expands across regional markets
The Cairo edition will kick off a wider Techne 2026 journey across the region.
The schedule includes Cairo on September 26–27, Egypt community activations from September 28–30, Dubai on October 1–2, Alexandria on October 3–5, and Riyadh on October 6–8.
Techne’s previous editions in Egypt and Europe have attracted more than 45,000 attendees, 400 speakers, 1,000 startups and 300 investors from more than 70 countries.
